King Abdulaziz International Airport (JED) is located in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and serves as one of the primary gateways to the country. The airport is named after King Abdulaziz Al Saud, the founder of modern Saudi Arabia. It is the busiest airport in Saudi Arabia in terms of passenger traffic. The airport is located approximately 19 kilometres north of Jeddah city centre and about 25 kilometres from the Jeddah Corniche Circuit.

The airport has three main terminals: the North Terminal for international flights, the South Terminal for domestic flights, and the Hajj Terminal, which is used during the Hajj pilgrimage season. The Hajj Terminal is one of the largest in the world, designed specifically to handle the large influx of pilgrims travelling to Mecca. JED is a major hub for Saudi Arabian Airlines, which offers numerous flights connecting Jeddah with major cities in Europe such as London, Paris, Frankfurt, and Madrid. In addition to Saudi Arabian Airlines, several international carriers operate at JED, providing direct connections to various European destinations.

These airlines include British Airways, Air France, Lufthansa, and Turkish Airlines. The airport features modern amenities, including lounges, duty-free shops, restaurants, and prayer rooms to cater to the needs of travellers.

Recent expansions and upgrades at the airport have improved its capacity and services, aiming to enhance the overall passenger experience. Ground transportation options at JED include taxis, car rentals, and public buses, making it easy for travellers to reach the city centre and other destinations. With its strategic location and extensive connections, King Abdulaziz International Airport plays a vital role in facilitating travel between Saudi Arabia and Europe.
